Chinatown

Vibrant history & distinct character

Yangon’s Chinatown is perhaps best known as a fun place for a cheap meal, but the streets are also home to colourful temples, century old trades, clan houses and many hidden treasures that the Chinese immigrants brought with them. It also is also one of the few places in downtown where you can access Yangon’s breezy riverfront promenade. This route has been crafted with care, avoiding the busy streets and guiding you to the quieter and charming alleys where the Chinese spirit is still very much alive.
