28 Jan Family Treasure Hunt in Sheung Wan Hong Kong
23-30 August 2015 . iDiscover together with the Hong Kong Maritime Museum organised a Family Treasure Hunt in Sheung Wan Hong Kong. Over 200 people participated in this educational and fun-filled event exploring the streets of Sheung Wan with the iDiscover App.
Using the iDiscover App & Map, family teams navigated the streets of Sheung Wan Hong Kong collecting stamps at six checkpoints on the way and learning all about the surprising history, traditional trades and hidden gems of this captivating neighbourhood.
Highlights were Kwong Wah, a traditional letterpress printing workshop in Sai Street, where kids saw a century old printing press in action, tasting medicinal herbal tea at Yuen Kut Lam in Jervois Street and discovering Old Master Q, HK’s own version of Donald Duck at Ng Hing Kee comic book shop in Lok Ku Road.
#idiscoverapp . While exploring, teams submitted photos of their discoveries. Julia Michieli with her shot trying typical dried goods in the Wah Tai Swallow’s Nest Shop on Wing Lok Street was the lucky winner of an i-pad mini. The jury liked the creative and imaginative way of capturing the Sheung Wan discovery spirit.
