iEat Gujarat Chai House

Traditional Gujarati chai, 24-hour local community hangout place

In this kitli (literally teakettle) you find a friendly mix of labourers, pilgrims, tourists and local shop owners.

At the teakettle

Amidst the hustle and bustle of the market square, tucked in amongst a throng of other shops is the Gujarat Tea Stall. A humble offering to the city, surrounded by boards of the local brand “Sunrise” Tea- this place is a stop for most pedestrians going about their day. In this kitli (literally teakettle) you find a friendly mix of labourers, pilgrims, tourists and local shop owners. A melting pot!

A sip of the cutting

Most visitors will recommend a visit to the nearby Irani Restaurant for a bite of maska bun or mutton curry, or Bera, for their famous samosa. But not without a sip of the “cutting” at Gujarat Chai House!
