Homey hopia delights

Polland Hopia started in 1966 with founder, Mrs. Po, selling hopia in the streets of Chinatown. From these humble beginnings, today it has become now one of the most popular hopia speciality stores in the Philippines.
Hopia, which translates to mung bean cake in English, is a staple delicacy in Chinese cuisine. The speciality hopia of Polland are Monggo Hopia and Pork Hopia. The cozy shop also sells other specialties served during traditional Chinese festivities like tikoy and mooncakes.

Origins of a rivalry

Rumour has it that Polland & Holland Hopia comes from the same family, they split because of internal conflicts. No one really remembers which brand came first!
