A five-storey cultural oasis amidst the soaring skyscrapers

A cultural oasis amidst the soaring towers

This 1950s walk-up apartment block is home to an eclectic mix of lifestyle stores, a movie memorabilia shop, yoga studios and even a music production house. The vintage interior design of the building has been lovingly retained, including the original pink-speckled terrazzo balustrade that blends in with the classic pattern of the new Art Nouveau floral floor tiles.

Walking up the staircase, you'll come across an incredibly interesting variety of sensory delights. You can take a yoga class at Karma, or learn how to brew your own craft beer at Moon of Silence Studio. Another gem is candle salon Make Your Day, helmed by Catrina who holds the accolade of being the first local candle maker certified by Japan Candle Association. There are plenty of hidden talents here too, such as A Nice Place To, a flea market for passionate craftsmen to display and sell their creations. On the top level behind a discreet sign is famous music production house Schtung Music and Museum Context, a Harry Potter pop-up complete with its own version of Diagon Alley.
