A family favourite
Located on a premier residential lane, nestled between some of the premier private homes in Colombo, Café on the 5th may feel like a relic from the past, but it remains a favourite haunt for many local families. And a go-to spot for after-school outings and auntie lunches. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an old-style food court, with a semi-outdoors dining area for a relaxed Sri Lankan meal. “I remember coming here with my schoolmates and brothers and sisters to celebrate the start of the holidays” says Ashik Bari who grew up in Cinnamon Gardens.
