Get your souvenirs cheap!
Pasar Kumbasari is by far the most exciting and affordable shopping spot in Denpasar. This is the market where the souvenir shop next to your hotel probably sources its products.
Four floors with over a thousand stalls offer an unparalleled selection of traditional items manufactured in Bali and surrounding islands: paper parasols, woven baskets, cheap t-shirts, plastic flowers, silverware, wood carvings and Balinese batiks.
The whole experience is a bit like entering a brightly coloured fantasy land with some quite extraordinary creatures on display. Don’t forget to bargain!
Pot market
Pasar Kumbasari was formerly known as Peken Payuk (pot market) and its most popular goods for sale are still locally manufactured pots and other kitchenware.
2nd floor for souvenirs
For great gifts head straight to the second level. Here you find a large hall filled with obligatory souvenirs but also some more interesting shops with handmade items from all over the island.
Art at the 3rd floor
For cool artworks go to the 3rd floor, immediately to your right from when you get up the stairs are two great shops with affordable classical and contemporary style paintings:
DewanggaArt Shop- Latai III Block C No 2 . +62 361 423413
Kresna Ayu – Latai III Block A 1-3

Snack time
Getting hungry? At night, the ground floor of the market turns into a giant snack bar with long rows of food stalls. Come here for a cheap and authentic midnight snack.
