Drunken dragon
Organised by local fishermen associations, this festival is an annual celebration of a local hero whose alcohol fuelled courage made him destroy an evil dragon. It starts early in the morning at the Kuan Tai Temple near Senado Square, where men perform a dance with the wooden head and tail of a dragon. They then parade through the streets to the Inner Harbour and drink wine until they drop.
If you are not a fisherman or a historian you probably have not heard of the Drunken Dragon Festival.
