A legendary building reimagined
The Laperal apartments were built just after WWII. Symbol of the rebirth of Manila, it was a popular art-deco residential block with local favourite American style cake shop Estrel’s. It fell into disrepair over the years, but in 2018 it was revitalised into Youniversity Suites, an 85 room co-living complex with café’s, a lounge and gym for students from the nearby university.
