Bali’s first winery
Hatten Wines has been making wine in Bali for about 20 tears. Pak Oka Gotama who operated a successful rice wine business started experimenting with winemaking in Bali’s tropical climate as early as 1968. With the help of a French winemaker he managed to defy the logic of traditional viticulture and the first rose was launched in 1994. A true pioneer in the regional wine industry Hatten is now known for wines that are well suited to the spicy Indonesian cuisine and has numerous awards under its belt.
Hatten wines do not have vintages, because Bali’s climate and fertile soil allow for three harvests a year.
Visit the vineyards
Taste from the two wine ranges, Hatten or Two Islands (made from imported grapes) the Dragonfly moscato or Dewi Sri rice wine. Want to know more? Visit the vineyards. The grapes are grown in the North of Bali, amidst coffee and cacao plantations.
