Pak Ben Subrata, the founder of Sudakara prides himself on embracing and showcasing young local artists: ‘Sudakara is one of Sanur’s largest professionally curated galleries and also an incubator for new talent and rising stars’.

Van de Sterren
The dedicated exhibition space is bright and airy and opens up to the beautiful garden of the exclusive Sudamala Suites. This boutique resort oozes classy colonial charm; here art is not a decorative afterthought, beautiful sculptures, paintings and other artworks are everywhere. Owner Ben Subrata is a big admirer of well-known Balinese/Dutch artist John van der Sterren, so much that he personally commissioned him to paint the hotel. You can find the painting in the hotel lobby.
