Taipa Island’s shoreline
This yellow pavilion with orange tiled roof used to be at the shoreline of the small and scenic island of Taipa. Where you now see casinos, hotels and apartment blocks used to be nothing but water.
This is not only the starting point for entering Taipa Village, but also the landmark of the whole of Taipa.
Community meeting place
Until the 1930s, this pavilion was the island’s main pier, a popular meeting place for the Taipa community.
