Essential glass repair
Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is full of old shophouses with glass windows. During typhoon seasons, many of these windows were broken and in need of repair. This is why there are many glasswork shops here. Tong Lee Glasswork started in 1980, making gift mirrors, picture frames and fish tanks, or anything that requires glass cutting. Although many shophouses have strengthened their windows, Yau Ma Tei residents still rely on Tong Lee for a quick fix.
Glass pen cutter
Master Cheung and Master Lam worked here for decades, and they only rely on one magical tool – the glass pen. All it requires is the master to hold on firmly and cut in a “fast, focused and accurate” manner. The tip of the glass pen has a diamond ball that can easily cut a piece of glass straightly into half.
