iSurprise Three Stones

Where you see the four giant banyan trees was the central square (keraton) of the old palace. In the small house are three stones, the only remains of the actual palace.

The large black slab, watu gilang, is where Senopati sat in meditation when he received divination from a falling star. On the stone you will see a crack! Legend has it that one day Senopati had one of many arguments with his son-in-law Ki Ageng. Infuriated by anger, Senopati slammed Ageng’s head against the stone, he died instantly and left just a crack...

The three small yellow stones are said to be the ‘marbles’ of Senopati’s son. They say that if you can lift all three stones, your wish will come true.
