The power of fertility
The rocks got their name from their resemblance to male genital organs and have become a popular place to pray for pregnancy, even local celebrities come here. Those lucky enough to become pregnant bring offerings of, ginger, mushrooms, red eggs and candles.
Four mountain school
In the past this was one of the city’s main mining quarries. When the villagers raised funds to build a school for the children of the miners, they named it after the four Kowloon mountains: the Sze Shan Public School. The school has long closed but the memories live on in its alumni, including local celebrities Danny Lau Dan and Law Kar Ying.
