From Yuen Long to Kwun Tong

Much loved by locals, Mrs Tang Cafe is also frequently visited by local celebrities like Chow Yun Fat, Shawn Yue and Ekin Cheng. Their main shop, originally named Wo Kee, is all the way in Yuen Long, with 50 years of history. Their first branch in Kwun Tong has been attracting long queues every day since its opening, just like the Yuen Long original.

Second generation

Mrs Tang’s three sons opened the café in Kwun Tong “We want to carry forward our mum’s signature dishes and spread the warmth of walled villages to the city”. With great success, the café is a popular local hangout. Mrs Chan a regular customer shares: "The food' is good here, but the queues are so long. You'd better go around 10-11am. And remember to order your food all in one go, they don't take your order the second time!"

Our favourites

The Sunny Side Up Pineapple Bun (HK$20) is the café’s must-have. A pineapple bun filled with a thick-sliced butter and tomatoes, giving it extra texture. Other favourites include signature egg & cheese corned beef bun and frozen milk tea.
