Cheap & cheerful food bazaar
Cooked Food Centres are a quintessential Hong Kong phenomenon. Dating back to the early 70s, when the government started putting street food stalls to indoor food bazaars, they are a great choice for bargain bites. Right to the pier where ferries arrive from North Point every 20 minutes, the Kwun Tong Centre is hugely popular one.
Authentic Malay cuisine
Singapore and Malaysian Canteen is among the most loved eateries in town. Formerly named Mrs. Chan Homemade Food it can count Tsai Lan, a well-known local food critic as one of their regulars. The canteen opened first in Tsim Sha Tsui and has since then moved around to different locations, but loyal customers keep coming back for the authentic Malay cuisine and genuine service.
