About Wellesley House
This unique building was the residence of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington when he was a colonel in the British East India Company. It was built by the British, and when we looked at Dutch maps this was still an open ground. Yet we feel this place has a romantic feel to it, with the beautiful white-columned mansion, and the deer grazing under big banyan trees.
